job description

Join LITEON as a Power Electronics Research Engineer and drive groundbreaking innovation in data center power systems. This is a unique opportunity to lead the design, simulation, and prototyping of next-generation power solutions in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. Based in the vibrant hub of Bali, Indonesia, you’ll collaborate with a global team to develop cutting-edge technologies that redefine efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in power electronics.

At LITEON, we empower engineers to push boundaries. Whether you’re an entry-level professional or a seasoned expert, you’ll contribute to high-impact projects that shape the future of energy systems. From conceptualizing advanced topologies to validating prototypes, your work will directly influence the evolution of data center infrastructure worldwide.

If you’re passionate about power conversion, renewable energy integration, or high-efficiency designs, this role offers the platform to turn your ideas into reality. Enjoy a competitive compensation package, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to work in one of Asia’s most inspiring locations.

Responsibility

  • Design and develop high-efficiency power conversion systems (e.g., DC-DC converters, inverters, rectifiers) for data center applications.
  • Conduct simulation and modeling (e.g., using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSIM) to validate performance and optimize topologies.
  • Lead prototyping and hardware testing of power electronic circuits, including PCB layout and thermal management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power solutions into scalable, commercial-ready systems.
  • Research emerging technologies (e.g., GaN, SiC, wide-bandgap semiconductors) to enhance system efficiency and power density.
  • Develop control algorithms for digital power management (e.g., DSP, FPGA, or microcontroller-based systems).
  • Document technical specifications, test reports, and design guidelines for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in renewable energy, energy storage, and grid modernization to inform R&D roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (0–5+ years, depending on level) in power electronics design, simulation, or testing.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, LTspice, COMSOL, or ANSYS Maxwell.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, load banks).
  • Strong understanding of magnetics design, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, UL) for power systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Indonesian) are a plus.
