Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children’s fine motor, gross motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities.
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s unique needs and developmental goals.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for children with special needs.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions, including sensory integration, play therapy, and adaptive equipment training.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support children’s development at home and in community settings.
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy through continuous professional development.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and workshops to contribute to a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or registration as an Occupational Therapist (preferably with pediatric certification).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with a focus on special needs populations.
- Strong knowledge of child development, sensory processing disorders, and neurodiversity (e.g., autism, ADHD, Down syndrome).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Fluency in English (additional languages, such as Bahasa Indonesia, are a plus).
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to inclusive, family-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
