As a Payroll Specialist, you will oversee the timely execution of monthly payroll, manage statutory deductions (BPJS Kesehatan & Ketenagakerjaan), calculate complex PPh 21 income taxes, and generate accurate financial reports. This role requires strong communication skills to liaise with estate managers and HR business partners across different regions.
Responsibility
- Manage and execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing for plantation and office employees accurately and on time.
- Calculate and process complex salary variables, including field allowances, overtime, harvest incentives, and specific plantation-based deductions.
- Administer and manage statutory benefits programs, specifically BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan calculations and reporting.
- Accurately compute, report, and file monthly PPh 21 (personal income tax) in compliance with current Indonesian tax laws.
- Liaise with estate managers and regional HR leads to verify attendance data, labor counts, and operational bonuses.
- Prepare comprehensive payroll reconciliation reports and financial summaries for management and auditing purposes.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and external auditors with high professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of solid experience in payroll processing, specifically within the oil palm plantation (Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit) sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labor regulations, PPh 21 tax calculations, and BPJS compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems (HRIS) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas).
- Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a strong sense of integrity when handling confidential data.
- Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with regional teams.
- Willingness to be based or work from our Bali office location.
