Responsibility

  • Prepare and serve meals for vessel crew members according to international hygiene and safety standards
  • Manage inventory and stock control of food provisions and catering supplies in offshore environments
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of galley, mess areas, and food storage facilities
  • Assist in menu planning and portion control to meet nutritional requirements of offshore crews
  • Operate and maintain catering equipment in compliance with maritime safety regulations
  • Coordinate with vessel management to ensure timely and efficient meal services during operations
  • Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene protocols (HACCP, ISM Code) in offshore settings
  • Support general housekeeping duties in accommodation areas as required
  • Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures specific to offshore construction vessels

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in catering, hospitality, or messman roles (offshore experience preferred)
  • Basic food safety certification (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work in challenging offshore environments with extended rotations
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills for multicultural work environments
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform duties in confined spaces and varying weather conditions
  • Basic English proficiency for international vessel operations
