Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric data solutions, including data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Implement ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into optimized storage solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable data models.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability using Fabric’s integrated tools (e.g., Synapse, Power BI, Data Factory).
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance by applying best practices in access control, encryption, and auditing.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
- Document data architectures, processes, and standards to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Microsoft Fabric and cloud data engineering to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Engineer, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or similar cloud data platforms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or Spark for data transformation and analysis.
- Experience with data modeling, dimensional modeling, and schema design (e.g., star schema, snowflake).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks for data visualization and orchestration.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar certification is highly desirable.
