Responsibility
- Design and analyze mechanical systems, including process equipment, pumps, and rotating machinery, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Perform stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate the structural integrity of vessels and piping systems.
- Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and installation processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical, civil, and process engineering requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations for mechanical components and systems.
- Oversee the procurement, fabrication, and testing of mechanical equipment to ensure quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning and operation phases of projects.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial or process engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and other relevant mechanical engineering standards.
- Experience with stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and thermal systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
