Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems of marine vessels to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in vessel engines, propulsion systems, electrical circuits, and auxiliary equipment.
- Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Monitor and analyze vessel performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all mechanical and electrical operations.
- Provide technical support and training to vessel crew members on the proper use and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or systems on vessels.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance for reporting and auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably in the maritime or offshore industry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing vessel engines, electrical systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and maintenance software.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with crew members and management.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in challenging marine conditions, including offshore environments.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable.
