Responsibility

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to gather and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting best practices, including process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on financial performance and market trends.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth audits and compliance reviews.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local regulatory requirements for financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in leading financial reporting teams and managing complex financial projects.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working in the mining, natural resources, or related industries is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong time management and organizational skills.
