As a Chargeman A4, you will oversee the operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, switchgear, and distribution panels.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards (e.g., DOSH, IEEE).
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, breakdowns, or malfunctions in plant machinery and systems with minimal downtime.
- Supervise and coordinate with technicians to execute repairs, upgrades, and installations of electrical components.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and incidents.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements for all electrical work.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system improvements and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in electrical engineering.
Qualifications
- Valid Chargeman A4 license (mandatory) with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in low-voltage systems (up to 1kV), switchgear, motors, and control panels.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations, DOSH compliance, and hazard prevention.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills to manage teams and critical situations.
- Ability to work shift hours, weekends, or on-call as required by operational needs.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
