As a Junior GSS Engineer, youâll collaborate with senior engineers to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot ground support systems, including satellite modems, RF equipment, and network infrastructure. Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain 24/7 teleport operations, including satellite modems, RF equipment, and network infrastructure.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, system checks, and preventive measures on ground support equipment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Generate and maintain operational reports, logs, and documentation for compliance and performance tracking.
- Support broadcast and telecommunication services by ensuring seamless signal transmission and reception.
- Participate in shift rotations to provide round-the-clock operational support.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices in teleport operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of satellite communications, RF systems, or network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with modems, antennas, or ground station equipment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
- Certifications in satellite communications, networking (CCNA), or RF technology are advantageous.
