Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of InterSystems HealthShare solutions for healthcare clients, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Architect scalable, interoperable systems to integrate disparate healthcare data sources (EHR, lab systems, billing, etc.) using HealthShare’s HL7/FHIR capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data models, workflows, and API strategies that optimize clinical and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership in system integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for HealthShare deployments.
- Develop custom extensions and configurations in HealthShare (e.g., Ensemble, Caché) to meet unique client needs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, GDPR, local regulations) and security best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for client teams.
- Document architectures, configurations, and best practices for future scalability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, with at least 2 years specializing in InterSystems HealthShare.
- Deep expertise in healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, IHE profiles).
- Proven track record in designing and deploying enterprise-grade HealthShare solutions in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Strong proficiency in ObjectScript, SQL, and RESTful APIs within the InterSystems ecosystem.
- Experience with data transformation, ETL processes, and real-time messaging in healthcare contexts.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field; certifications in InterSystems technologies are a plus.
