Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage Windows and Linux server environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM) for efficient resource utilization.
- Develop and optimize cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support scalable and secure infrastructure.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve server, storage, and backup system issues to minimize downtime.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices for data protection and compliance.
- Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to meet business demands.
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and incident reports for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in server administration, infrastructure management, or cloud engineering.
- Proven expertise in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) environments.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or open-source alternatives).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their respective services.
- Strong knowledge of storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and backup/recovery systems (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
