As our IMPEX / Logistics Specialist, you will manage end-to-end import and export operations, from securing permits and coordinating shipments to ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Responsibility
- Oversee and manage all import and export operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipments.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth logistics processes.
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate documentation for customs clearance, including invoices, packing lists, and permits.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, and local laws to avoid penalties or delays.
- Monitor shipment statuses and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during transit.
- Optimize logistics workflows to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance supply chain performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including procurement, finance, and operations, to align logistics strategies with business goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, trade agreements, and regulatory changes that may impact import/export operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to troubleshoot logistics issues.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
