Based in Badung, Bali, you will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and sustainable sourcing practices. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning procurement strategies with business objectives, fostering long-term partnerships with key suppliers, and mitigating risks in a dynamic market.
This role offers a competitive compensation package including a monthly salary of $9K–$11K USD, Annual Wage Supplement (AWS), and performance-based Variable Bonus (VB). Responsibility
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure high-quality raw materials (e.g., steel, alloys) at optimal costs while ensuring supply chain resilience.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global and local suppliers, conducting negotiations, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchasing, contract renegotiations, and alternative sourcing solutions without compromising quality.
- Contract Administration: Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and corporate policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with operational and financial goals.
- Risk Mitigation: Monitor market trends, geopolitical factors, and supply chain disruptions to proactively address potential risks.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Drive eco-friendly and socially responsible procurement practices in line with global ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields. MBA or CIPS certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the steel, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel procurement, including raw material markets, pricing trends, and supplier landscapes.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and achieve significant cost savings.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong data analysis skills to evaluate supplier performance, spend analytics, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Language: Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Indonesian) are advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
