Responsibility
- Prepare and perform live hand-pulled noodle demonstrations for guests, ensuring an engaging and authentic experience.
- Master the art of dough preparation, stretching, and shaping noodles to meet traditional Lamian standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to integrate hand-pulled noodles into menu offerings, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Train and mentor junior staff on Lamian techniques and best practices.
- Customize noodle textures and shapes based on dish requirements and guest preferences.
- Engage with customers, explaining the history and craftsmanship behind hand-pulled noodles.
- Assist in menu development, suggesting innovative ways to feature Lamian in modern and traditional dishes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hand-Pulled Noodle Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen or live cooking environment.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese noodle-making techniques, including dough consistency and stretching methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining precision and presentation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (or willingness to obtain).
- Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to preserving traditional cooking methods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in hospitality or fine dining is a plus.
