Responsibility
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly fund accounting reports for Australian-based clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Calculate and verify Net Asset Value (NAV) for various investment funds, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity.
- Reconcile cash, securities, and other financial transactions to maintain precise fund records.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze fund performance, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, regulatory submissions, and investor statements in accordance with Australian financial regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and industry best practices.
- Support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending automation or optimization solutions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within the Australian market or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Bloomberg, or similar).
- Strong understanding of NAV calculations, fund operations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with Australian financial regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
