Note: This is a contract position with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibility
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) entries with precision and timeliness.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in compliance with Indonesian accounting standards (SAK).
- Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and client payments while ensuring accurate record-keeping and cash flow management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, operations) to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for management decision-making.
- Assist in tax compliance, including VAT/GST filings, withholding tax calculations, and coordination with external tax advisors.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for audit readiness and regulatory inspections.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or optimization solutions (e.g., accounting software upgrades, workflow improvements).
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects or business expansions in Bali’s growing market.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in full-set accounting, with hands-on expertise in AP, AR, and GL.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian accounting standards (SAK) and tax regulations (e.g., VAT, PPh 21/23).
- Experience working with multi-currency transactions and international clients is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment, with excellent time-management skills.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA) are a bonus.
