Responsibility
- Translate written content from English to Ilocano/Tagalog and vice versa with accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Edit and proofread translated materials to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver translations on time.
- Research and maintain glossaries and terminology databases to ensure consistency across projects.
- Adapt translations for different audiences, including marketing, legal, and technical content.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining high-quality output.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve translation processes and tools.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Ilocano, Tagalog, and English (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in translation, editing, or proofreading (junior-level candidates are welcome to apply).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, glossaries) is a plus.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to regional dialects and nuances.
