Responsibility
- Conduct on-site assessments to gather project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure accurate project documentation.
- Review blueprints and technical drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of project estimates and revisions.
- Communicate with clients to clarify project scope and expectations.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost estimation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost estimation or a similar role in the engineering/construction industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
