Responsibility
- Manage and organize the engineering storeroom, ensuring all materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
- Process purchase requisitions and coordinate with suppliers to procure engineering materials and spare parts.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, and transfers, using digital or manual systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to forecast material needs and prioritize stock replenishment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for handling and storing hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Generate reports on inventory status, usage trends, and procurement activities for management review.
- Optimize storage space and layout to improve efficiency and reduce retrieval times.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and proficiency in using ERP or inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier coordination.
- Basic understanding of engineering materials, tools, and equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
