As an Engine Storekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our vesselās engineering operations. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that all spare parts and materials are readily available for maintenance and repairs. Responsibility
- Manage and maintain inventory of engine spare parts, tools, and materials for passenger vessels.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of high-quality parts and equipment.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to forecast and plan for upcoming maintenance and repair needs.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company standards for inventory management.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including receipts, issuances, and returns.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and cost analysis.
- Support emergency repair operations by quickly sourcing and delivering critical parts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or a related role in the maritime industry.
- Familiarity with engine components, spare parts, and tools used in passenger vessels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous.
