Responsibility
- Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software and other design tools.
- Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit studies to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
- Ensure all designs comply with local and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including resolving design-related issues and conducting site inspections.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposals to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design for construction projects, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEC, and local regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
