Responsibility
- Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest concerns and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with department heads to implement operational policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with Shangri-Laâs brand values.
- Monitor and manage staff performance, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure a motivated and high-performing team.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Handle emergency situations, including guest incidents, security concerns, or operational disruptions, with composure and efficiency.
- Prepare and present operational reports, including occupancy rates, guest feedback, and financial performance, to senior management.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth and enhance the hotelâs reputation through exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the luxury hospitality industry, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort.
- Proven track record in guest relations, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong operational knowledge of hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and security.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or Japanese) are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS, Amadeus, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in hospitality management (e.g., CHA, CHE) or a related field is advantageous.
