Responsibility
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance inventory tracking, space utilization, and order fulfillment efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, turnaround time, and cost-per-unit to drive operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with procurement, transportation, and retail teams to align distribution strategies with business needs and demand forecasts.
- Manage budgetary controls for warehouse operations, including labor, equipment, and facility costs, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and execute contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in supply chain or logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management, preferably in retail or FMCG sectors.
- Proven track record of leading teams of 50+ staff in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control, lean logistics, and Six Sigma principles.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications in Logistics (CSCP, CLTD) or Project Management (PMP) are highly advantageous.
