Responsibility
- Develop original concepts and storylines for Tamil TV dramas, serials, and digital content.
- Conduct in-depth research to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance in scripts.
- Write and refine programme proposals, treatments, and full scripts for single and multi-episode productions.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and editors to align scripts with production goals and audience expectations.
- Adapt existing content for digital platforms, including social media, web series, and interactive formats.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and test audiences to enhance script quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends, viewer preferences, and emerging storytelling techniques.
- Ensure scripts meet broadcast standards, legal requirements, and brand guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mass Communication, Film, Literature, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Scriptwriter, Content Writer, or Story Developer, preferably in Tamil media.
- Strong command of Tamil and English (written and verbal) with a flair for dialogue and narrative structure.
- Portfolio of original scripts or published work (TV, digital, or film).
- Deep understanding of Tamil culture, traditions, and contemporary themes.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with screenwriting software (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx) is a plus.
