Responsibility
- Develop detailed production designs for wood and metal display racks, modules, and custom fixtures based on client specifications and conceptual sketches.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
- Create 2D/3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or SketchUp).
- Select appropriate materials (wood, metal, finishes) based on project requirements, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and optimize production processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices in all designs.
- Provide technical support to production teams during manufacturing, troubleshooting design-related issues as they arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging materials, and innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance product offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production design, preferably in wood and metal manufacturing or furniture design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques for wood and metal.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on functionality and aesthetics.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
