In this role, you will be the frontline defender of our computing environment. You will be responsible for the proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of office workstations, peripheral devices, and network hardware. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about hardware longevity, system uptime, and providing exceptional technical support to internal staff.

Responsibility

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral hardware.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues reported by end-users in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems, software packages, and network connectivity tools.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and computer components.
  • Assist in the setup of new workstations for onboarding employees.
  • Document technical procedures and keep detailed logs of maintenance activities and hardware repairs.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to implement system security patches and firmware updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant experience in computer hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, or technical support.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in hardware diagnostics and repair techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and apply logical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting and infrastructure cabling is a plus.
