Responsibility
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-precision parts.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate production.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Conduct rigorous quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
- Optimize machining processes and tooling selection to improve cycle times and reduce material waste.
- Collaborate with the design team to provide feedback on manufacturability and design adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with strict safety protocols and industry standards.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records of finished components.
Qualifications
- Nitec or Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in CNC machining (Milling or Turning).
- Strong proficiency in reading technical blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to perform machine offsets, tool changes, and basic programming adjustments.
- Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software is highly advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute effectively in a team environment.
