Responsibility
- Prepare authentic Chinese meals (including non-halal dishes) for 6–9 people daily, adhering to traditional recipes and dietary preferences.
- Plan and execute weekly menus in coordination with household management, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in employee common areas, including kitchens, dining spaces, and lounges.
- Source and manage high-quality ingredients, including specialty Chinese produce and spices, while adhering to budget guidelines.
- Assist with inventory control for kitchen supplies and household essentials, reporting shortages or needs proactively.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards rigorously to ensure a healthy environment for all residents and staff.
- Collaborate with other household staff to support daily operations and special events.
- Communicate effectively in Mandarin and basic English to coordinate tasks and clarify requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chinese cuisine chef or cook, with expertise in preparing dishes for groups (6+ people).
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory; basic English proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to cook non-halal Chinese dishes (e.g., pork, seafood) without restrictions.
- Strong housekeeping and organizational skills, with attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance.
