As the Chief Engineer, youâll oversee all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, building infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives to ensure seamless operations, cost efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Responsibility
- Lead and manage all engineering operations for luxury hospitality properties, ensuring 24/7 reliability of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime, extend asset lifespan, and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management, aligning with global ESG standards.
- Collaborate with property management and external vendors to ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and international hospitality standards.
- Manage capital expenditure projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new installations, from planning to execution.
- Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Monitor and analyze engineering performance metrics, providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership for operational improvements.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing technical issues promptly and maintaining the highest standards of comfort, safety, and aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Masterâs degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, CEng) are a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within luxury hospitality, commercial real estate, or high-end residential properties.
- Proven expertise in MEP systems, HVAC, building automation, and sustainability practices, with a track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian building codes, safety regulations, and international hospitality standards (e.g., ISO, Green Building Council).
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM) and engineering software (e.g., Revit, ETAP).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) are advantageous.
