As a Biomedical Technician, you will oversee the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for all biomedical devices in our state-of-the-art facilities. Responsibility
- Conduct Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on biomedical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital protocols.
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of medical devices to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Maintain accurate service logs, inventory records, and compliance documentation for all biomedical assets.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and vendors to address equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute cost-saving strategies to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan.
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, or equivalent).
- Provide technical training and support to healthcare personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Monitor and report on equipment performance metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Biomedical Technician, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment (e.g., patient monitors, ventilators, imaging systems, lab devices).
- Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) or equivalent is a plus.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and using diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
- Willingness to work on-call or flexible hours as needed for emergency repairs.
