Responsibility
- Process and verify patient billing information accurately and efficiently.
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and address patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to streamline billing processes.
- Prepare and submit financial reports as required by management.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare billing policies and procedures.
- Assist in training new staff on billing software and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare billing or medical accounting.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Certification in medical billing (e.g., CMBS) is a plus.
