Responsibility
- Oversee and optimize daily settlement operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and streamline workflows in the settlements division.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk management, and compliance, to align settlement processes with organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze settlement data and trends to proactively address potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for settlement activities.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including financial institutions and payment system operators, to resolve settlement-related queries.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and fintech solutions to modernize settlement infrastructure.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on settlement performance, risks, and improvements.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in settlements, payment systems, or financial operations, preferably within a central bank or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of settlement processes, risk management, and financial market infrastructures.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights to drive operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with settlement or payment system software.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
