HC Global Resource is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Accountant to join our growing team in Bacolod City. As an integral part of our finance department, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial data. In this role, you will primarily assist in coordinating annual audits of clients’ financial statements, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with senior accountants and external auditors to streamline the audit process and provide insightful financial analysis. Beyond audits, you will support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual audits for various client financial statements.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow movements.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and documentation.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for senior management review.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Identify discrepancies in financial data and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve internal accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or auditing (Fresh graduates with strong academic records are welcome).
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Strong analytical skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- CPA license or progress towards certification is highly preferred.
