As the Assistant Manager / Senior Executive in the Division of Surgery & Surgical Oncology, you will play a pivotal role as a Surgical Clinical Reviewer for the prestigious National Surgical Quality Improvement Programme (NSQIP) and Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI).

Responsibility
- Serve as the primary Surgical Clinical Reviewer for NSQIP and VQI, ensuring accurate and timely data collection and submission.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of surgical cases to identify opportunities for quality improvement and risk reduction.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement standardized protocols for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
- Analyze surgical outcome data to generate actionable insights and reports for hospital leadership and clinical stakeholders.
- Train and mentor clinical staff on NSQIP/VQI data abstraction methodologies and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with national and international surgical quality benchmarks and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss findings, trends, and strategies for enhancing patient safety and care efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical quality metrics, evidence-based guidelines, and emerging trends in healthcare analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Public Health, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in clinical settings, surgical departments, or healthcare quality improvement programs.
- Proven experience with NSQIP, VQI, or similar surgical quality databases is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or statistical software).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with surgeons, nurses, and administrative teams.
- Certification in Surgical Quality Improvement or Clinical Data Management is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
