Responsibility
- Assist the Director of Housekeeping in developing and implementing departmental strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain Rafflesâ high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Supervise and mentor housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to protocols, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with brand standards and guest expectations.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering) to address guest requests, maintenance issues, and operational challenges promptly.
- Manage inventory and procurement of housekeeping supplies, optimizing costs while maintaining quality and availability.
- Train and develop team members on best practices in housekeeping, including the use of eco-friendly products and sustainable cleaning methods.
- Monitor and analyze housekeeping performance metrics, implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in housekeeping technology, recommending improvements to enhance operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort, preferably with an internationally recognized brand.
- Proven track record in managing and motivating large housekeeping teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, including cleaning standards, inventory management, and staff training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with guests, colleagues, and senior management.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software.
- Commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices in housekeeping operations.
