Responsibility

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PFRS standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting processes, and variance analysis reports.
  • Implement and refine internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize financial processes.
  • Support the Accounting Manager in strategic financial planning and departmental goal setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA license is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Solid understanding of Philippine tax laws, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring and developing accounting teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines.
