Responsibility
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments, in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, including filing and documentation.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and follow up on past-due invoices to ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper approval and coding of invoices.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
