As an Accounts Clerk, you will play an essential role in maintaining the financial integrity of our daily branch operations. You will support the local finance team by ensuring all transactions, ledger entries, and supplier accounts are maintained with high precision. Responsibility
- Perform daily matching of billing invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports.
- Verify and reconcile daily cash collections and register receipts from retail operations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Perform routine bank reconciliations and verify transaction records for accuracy.
- Organize and maintain a systematic electronic and physical filing system for all financial documents, vouchers, and tax invoices.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal department heads to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Support the finance team during monthly closing activities and periodic physical inventory stocktakes.
Qualifications
- Possess at least an SPM, LCCI, or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in basic bookkeeping or accounting, ideally within retail or FMCG.
- Fresh graduates with a strong academic background in accounting are highly encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with localized accounting software (e.g., UBS, AutoCount, SQL) is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical competency, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Capable of meeting deadlines and working productively under minimal supervision.
