Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments, verifying accuracy and completeness before approval.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable functions, including tracking overdue payments and following up with clients or vendors.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring timely submission and adherence to local tax laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the marine or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high level of self-motivation and discipline.
