Responsibility
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local and international standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights to senior management for strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing staff.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in the logistics or related industry is highly desirable.
