As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and supporting the accounting team with day-to-day tasks. Your responsibilities will include accounts payable (AP) vouchering, accounts receivable (AR) invoicing, reconciliations, and general accounting support. Responsibility
- Process and verify accounts payable (AP) vouchers, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to vendors.
- Prepare and issue accounts receivable (AR) invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both digital and physical, in compliance with company policies.
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks, such as data entry, filing, and document management.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and company accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
- Familiarity with Indonesian tax regulations and accounting standards is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (additional languages are a bonus).
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while maintaining productivity and collaboration.
